Michael is Junior Partner at Gaffar & Co. Law Firm, specializing in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, real estate and property, as well as banking and finance sectors.

In the litigation practice area, Michael has had diverse experiences in representing his clients in various commercial disputes before the courts and/or arbitration proceeding. Michael also has had experience in alternative dispute resolution, such as negotiation and mediation. In handling each case, Michael always provides the most effective legal strategy to resolve disputes faced by the clients by focusing on the clients’ legal and business interests.

As for the real estate and property practice area, Michael has had various experiences to assist his clients in the matters of land and building acquisition, company’s fixed asset acquisition, building management, property rental, and various types of cooperation schemes for the utilization of land and buildings, as well as joint-operation and joint-venture projects.

In addition, Michael is well experienced in banking and finance practice area. Michael has assisted clients in the multifarious types of debt restructuring, bank’s credit facilities, asset collateral, and derivative transaction.

Michael obtained his bachelor’s degree of law from University of Indonesia with cumlaude predicate, and holds a Master of Laws in Economic Law from the University of Indonesia with cumlaude honours as well. Michael is a member of Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI) and also associate of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
